Ok so it's time to upgrade cables

I am about to order the Dayton cables from www.partexpress.com

Here is the situation the wires come out of the reciever and get connected to the wall plates and from there the go to the respective spots. Now my current subwoofer cable(cheap single rca style) comes out of the receiver into the plate then into another small 3 foot cable and then into another plate. Then from the plate to another cheap
    cable into the subwoofer.

    Now having said that ...

Should I use the same wall plates and just use three new cables or get 1 longer cable and replace the 2 plates with blanks and drill holes and use this 1 long cable http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...D=117461&DID=7

    Thanks in advance

The purist might tell you to connect directly from receiver to amp via the one long cable.

However, I don't see a problem using the plates; provided the plate connections are of reasonable quality.

I doubt you'll hear a difference either way.
