Upgrade speakers or stand pat?

I don't know what my problem is. This year, I've purchased a Panasonic plasma and an Onkyo A/V receiver and an Oppo DVD player. All of a sudden, my speakers are the oldest part of my setup, at about 5 years old. My current speaker setup is PSB Image 4Ts in front, PSB Image 2Bs as surrounds, a PSB Image 8C center, and a Subsonic 5 subwoofer. I've always wished that I would have had room in my cabinet for the 9C center, but it's too big.

I've been hearing about the Definitive Procinema 1000 and other strong sub-$2,000 5.1 packages.

Should I keep what I have for awhile longer? Are my PSBs decent by comparison? I may upgrade just the center channel, but it has to be 8.4"H x 24"W or smaller.

Take a look at Ascend Acoustics. CMT-340se's across the front and either HTM-200 or CBM-170se's in the back. Once you pair with a sub from SVS (or Hsu, which Ascend sells themselves...) it will be tough to beat $2000 (or, imo under $3k or $4k).

^^ I'm currently upgrading my audio, I got the Definitive Tech. Studio Cinema Pair of SM450 for Fronts, CLR2002 for center, pair BP2x Surround, still have not decided on a sub, Might do HSU stf3 or even the PA's SUb..
I got the Def. Tech for about $1050.00 on ebay....only the BP2x were used but looks new, .. even with a new sub I will still stay within my budget of $1600.00
