First off, I want to thank everyone who responded to my questions and everyone who has posted here. I did alot of lurking and searching. 90% of my questions were found w/o posting a question.

Donation is in paypay! small price to pay for the money I saved DIY instead of buying!

Here is an update on my sub project.
Endtable style downfiring 118L 4" ported box tuned to 20.5 hz w/ a shiva 12 and pe 250w amp.

    thanks.

Well, I finally got my replacement shiva in the mail. the first one was defective.
So I have the box down w/o any of the finishing trim or top, just mdf. sounds great. put it place and it does not look that bad hidden behind the couch. might stay that way for awile since i am swamped at work and w/ new born.

at first I was very disappointed. I had a bad speaker then it just did not seem to hit that hard when I got the new one. I removed the driver to make sure both vc were working and my wires were correct. found my problem, my thru hole was so tight that i bent a connection point and the wire came off so I was running only one vc at 8ohms.
Now I have to turn the thing down...and giggle when it hits hard.
