With all the recent remakes, I decided to make a list of upcoming remakes.

It Should Happen to You
King Kong
The House of Wax
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea

Bride of Frankenstein
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Wiily Wonka)
Clash of the Titans
Creature from the Black Lagoon
Fahrenheit 451
Forbidden Planet
Logan's Run
The Poseidon Adventure
The Manchurian Candidate
Phantom of the Opera

Please feel free to add titles not included above.

Why remake it? The original was perfect! Yeah, the costumes are a little dated, but it's still a great disaster movie.

They should re-make the sequel instead!

Why remake anything? I mean really, this summer has been inundated with needless sequels (Riddick, Bourne Supremacy) and remakes (Stepford Wives, Manchurian Candidate). I want something new.

Here's a question.

Has there been a remake, in your opinion, that actually improved on the original?

I actually thought the remake of THE RING was better than the original, RINGU.

Also - believe it or not - they're going to remake DIRTY HARRY.

DIRTY HARRY !!!???!!!:frowning:

Clash of the titans could be good with all of the advancements in computers and such, but if the story and acting are not there.......well then a big waste of time..

I really like Neil Jordan's The Good Thief, from last year, which was a remake of Jean-Pierre Melville's mid '50s movie Bob Le Flambeur. I saw the original on DVD just before the remake hit the theaters, and I thought the lead actor was teriffic, but the movie didn't do that much for me. Maybe this is heresy for some Nouvelle Vague fans (Bob Le Flambeur was one of its fore-runners), but the re-make was definitely more to my liking.

I prefer the remakes of The Thing and The Fly more than the originals. I'm sure there are others but those come straight to mind.

THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN. Apparently as a comedy (again!). Ugh.

after white chicks i'm amazed he's getting another.

Mr. Blandings Builds his Dream House
The Longest Yard

if another remake comes for those two it will be the second for each.

longest yard was remade as mean machine.

and mr blandings was the money pit.
