Anchor Bay's The Wicker Man LE comes in a nifty wooden case. The Basic Instinct case (the one with the icepick/pen is....different. The Akira limited edition tin is pretty nice.

If you can get the original release of Fargo (I think it's OOP), it had a really stupid case where it was almost impossible to remove the DVD without scratching it. I think there were several other movies that used that abomination of a case before they dumped it permanently.

Thanks for the recomendations. speaking of really badly designed cases. Whats up with the A.I. case? You can just barely get the booklet out. It just looks cheap!

Even though you might not be able to play them...
Amelie from Montemarte - Collectable Tin from R2 France.
Le Pacte De Loupes - Special "Replica Book" box from R2 France. Not kidding here, it looks like a real book unlike the Columbia Tri-Star cases for Lawrence & Bridge.
And if you can still pre-order it...
My So Called Life - Metal Lunch Box R1 release exclusive to Another Universe(www.anotheruniverse.com).

I think there was a thread about this not that long ago, but it appears that Candy CE (a candy tin can, of course) hasn't been mentioned here yet.
