Wasn’t that going to be the date of the next Star Wars movie? I guess Taika Watiti’s statement yesterday that he won’t film this year lead everyone else to realize Lucasfilm can’t make their 2023 date.

I think that LFL and Disney knew that a long time ago and they just haven't chosen to announce it officially yet.
