Hi
I recently purchased "Meet Joe Black" and "Notting Hill" "Ultimate Edition" DVD's from Universal and I must honestly say that the packaging is the "Ultimate" worst in the History of the DVD Format IMHO! Stick to standard Keepcases Please! I have a DVD Marquee which I bought from our friends at "Showoff Displays". The Annoying Hard Plastic Flaps don't even allow for these films to sit properly on the Marquee where I delight in displaying all my cases for "Maximum Home Theatre Effect". IMHO You Blew it Universal!

They are in the see through cases just like the Sex And The City discs, and yes, they are dreadful! The Mummy UE was fine, but these new ones are horrid. But I suppose people deserve ugly packaging if they are going to buy Patch Adams UE

I'm still waiting for Universal to include the most ultimate feature ever.... [drumroll]... closed captions! I don't like "english subtitles".
Without 'em I wont buy.

These "Ultimate Edition" DVDs from Universal absolutely come in some of the worst packaging ever. The clear plastic case is flimsy, looks cheap and won't even close shut.
Universal, please reconsider using a case more like The Mummy:Ultimate Edition than this latest batch of clear plastic horrible cases!

Pan and scan, an Ultimate Edition does not make. I'm tired so sorry if that didn't come out right.
A Sony SUPERBIT type disc with high bitrate video, but with full bitrate 24 bit DTS or DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 and all supplements on a second disc. Now THAT would be an Ultimate Edition standard DVD. HD-DVD with FMD discs containing 1920x1080p and 7.1 discrete DSD would be even better. :)
