Was season 1 of Adam-12 ever rereleased?
One other thing I'm wondering-- will these new single-sided redos be in keepcases?
Currently we don't even know yet whether they will be single-sided discs. The likelihood is high that it will be single-sided discs, but not 100% definitive.
I hope they're not keepcase Steeles! (That is to say, I hope they're not doubles in keepcases.)
This is odd looking, and not definitive by any means.
On the canada amazon, the listings of Reba season 5 and 6 have slightly different mockup cover images than the previous old ones.
A newer mockup image of Reba season 5 says "4-disc set" at the bottom.
On February 20, 2018, Reba season 6 is being re-released where the mockup image says "2-disc set" at the bottom.
If these disc counts quoted in the newer mockup images have any truth to them, they would be consistent with replicating the old double-sided flipper disc faces into single-sided discs. (The original Reba season 6 had one dvd14 flipper disc, while the original season 5 had two dvd14 flipper discs).
Some upcoming Warner animated re-releases on April 17, 2018.
- Challenge of The Superfriends: the complete first season
- All-New Superfriends Hour: season 1 volume 1
- All-New Superfriends Hour: season 1 volume 2
- Super Friends volume 2
- The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians
- Superman: The Animated Series volume 1
- Superman: The Animated Series volume 2
- Superman: The Animated Series volume 3
In terms of previous double-sided flipper discs releases, the Challenge of The Superfriends first season and the Superman animated sets all respective had disc2 as a flipper. (The other above sets were originally single-sided discs from the start).
If the amazon mockup images for this re-released Challenge of The Superfriends: first season set is reliable, it asserts it will be a 2-disc set. There is no mention of any special features on the back cover mockup image.
So most likely it is reauthored.
In the case of the Superman animated re-releases, the amazon mockup images assert that each volume will be 2-disc sets, where the previous episode commentaries are missing. Though some of the special features featurettes are still mentioned.
The only way for this to make sense, is if all the discs are reauthored in all three volumes.
Any chance that the V might released on single sided discs (you would think it would have a chance for blu ray as well)?
Without any insider information, the only way we'll ever see the original V re-released as single-sided discs (the telefilms and series) is when Warner runs out of the old inventory.
For a bluray release, I suppose one can always ask the Warner Archive folks if it is even viable.
Quincy Season 1 on single sided discs was released 2/13/18.
Two singles for four NBC Mystery Movie films-- that's how I thought it would go.
The disc counts of the upcoming original Dallas re-releases have been updated on amazon.
season - number of discs
1&2 - 6 discs
3 - 5 discs
4 - 5 discs
5 - 6 discs
6 - 6 discs
7 - 6 discs
8 - 6 discs
9 - 7 discs
10 - 6 discs
11 - 6 discs
12 - 6 discs
13 - 6 discs
If these are single-sided discs, then these re-released sets would be consistent with being reauthored into five episodes per disc for the first nine seasons.
The season 10 to 13 sets are most likely just replicating the older flipper disc faces, into single-side discs.
Which, outside of that, will be pretty much the same as the original doubles (no bonuses, to be exact, just the episodes).
I also noticed those new disc counts on the upcoming Dallas sets. I'm very excited to FINALLY get these as single-sided discs and I'm all ready to view the entire series once again. I had some major problems with the flippers, mainly freezing issues.
Just ordered the Adam-12 (S1), Dragnet (S1) and Dukes of Hazzard (S2) single sided releases. Can't wait for Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Dallas! My flippers are slowly but surely biting the dust.
Just FYI, the single-sided Dallas releases are coming out on March 27, NOT March 6 as previously posted in this thread. Can't wait!!!
Why later than we thought?
Has anyone picked up the "repackaged" Kung-Fu S1 release?
Got my Alfred Hitchcock Presents Season 1 and Dallas Seasons 1 & 2 sets the other day. Of course, I already watched the first episode of Dallas. I'm happy with the single-sided discs, but I still would love to see this series remastered for Blu someday.
