For the time being, I preordered everything but Land of the Dead.

My HD-DVD purchases have completely stopped, nothing good coming out at all. That list has nothing for me.

I'll upgrade Fast Times when that comes out (although I will wait until the reviews first) and I'm mildly interested in Traffic- save for the fact that I still haven't cracked the Criterion copy open that I bought about 3 or 4 years ago.
Other than that, there are about 5-10 titles on that MS list that I want- but I don't know what the time frame on them will be. I would love to see that entire list released in 06, but as we know from a few titles that haven't even been theatrically released yet, that won't be the case.

after that, the things I really want to see are the titles that have never gotten a decent shake on standard def- Somewhere In Time, Sorcerer, Colosuss.
In other words - it doesn't really matter who is exclsuive and who isn't- the stuff I want to see ain't getting released anytime soon anyway.

I want Sci-fi, action and the like. No comidies, or real life drama type films for me, and those seem to be the bulk of the titles coming out.

forgot to mention this- I had to contact Amazon customer sercvice today to resolve an issue that was partly my fault, but exacerbated by another CSRs misinformation a few days earlier.
Once again I walk away from the experience completely satisfied, and actually feeling like I've taken advantage of the system. They went above and beyond to get everything straightened out- and I told the lady over the phone today, I almost feel ashamed now for even making these an issue.

I order from DDD very frequently due to the generally consistently lower prices and the fact I don't have to wait and bundle items together to get free shipping.
But Amazon has always been faster, my items (especially box sets) seem to arrive in better condition, and customer service, when there is an issue, is 99% of the time a very pleasant experience.

in short, they are so good, I'll happily pay a slight premium to support them more often.

although that doesn't really apply here as their prices on HD DVDs are the lowest I can find anyway :)

it really is about 37%.
you save 30% off the list price then you get 10% off that price.

example.
fear and loathing.

29.98 save 30% and pay 20.99 save an additional 10% off that for 18.89.
18.89 is about 37% of 29.98.

still good.
although alot of the prices of these hd dvd and br dvds seems to be going up everytime i log back onto amazon and look at my cart.
i always see a new note about the increase in price.

i think the br crash just went to 35.99

Yeah, a pretty lame group of titles.

They could have thrown us a bone and put at least one over-the-top
great title in there.

...then again, it's my opinion which I am sure someone is going to
slam me for! :)

I'm with Ron P and Ron (E) on this one, really nothing on this list excites me.

There are defintely a few netflix rentals on that list, just no purchases

Wow, tough room. Sure, those are not the top titles in my want list, but come on! I'm getting at least five of those, no question.

that extra 10%off is the deal amazon was offering earlier if you bought 3 titles and/or a player.
some titles are 33% off so you save another dollar or so.
