We need more films from Universal's library of 1929-1948 Paramount films.

Many have never seen the light of officially sanctioned videos such as It's A Gift, Mississippi, Alice In Wonderland, and others.

If Universal still owns 'um, I'm more than ready to buy 'um:
What I'm looking for out of Universal are THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES (1946) One of Abbott & Costello's better movies, and SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR (1978)
I've been waiting a long time to buy them on DVD.

I must say, that I have been pretty happy with Universal's releases so far. My only hope is that they go back and re-release some of their earlier releases in 16:9 transfers or in widescreen transfers. I was so happy when they just recently re-released Sea of Love in a new Widescreen version with extras! Anyway, here is my list of movies that I want released or re-released
PLEASE ONLY RELEASE THESE MOVIES IN ANAMPORHIC WIDESCREEN!!

I know the movie's already got its own thread but if the fine folks at Universal have a look here, I've just got to whisper:

    The Incredible Shrinking Man

    Pretty please?

Oh and regarding Babe and The Sting. Surely these films deserve proper DVD presentations.

    Pirate of Penzance (1983)
Universal spent $10 million on this film in the early 80's , then released the film Pan and Scan to Pay TV. Theaters refused to option the film. It bombed at the boxoffice as a result. I Never liked it until I caught it on Bravo in a widescreen 2:35:1 version. Fell in love with it. Taped it but the film would look great on DVD and with true Stereo sound, and of course widescreen.
