I'd buy this. A guilty pleasure from my childhood. Really enjoy the current Conan The Barbarian: SE and would gladly buy an uncut Conan The Destroyer: SE.

I found the offical site for the region 2 release of conan the destroyer for japan and germany. I also found the amazon.fr for the france version of conan the destroyer. I believe that all are region 2.. each dvds has different features. No news on the region 1 SE yet.

I would buy it. However, I don't think any amount of restored footage will make it a better movie. I think they should make up for that uninspired farce by making the 3rd movie that John Milius was talking about.

In both Conans, Arnold was depicted as king by hiw own hand. That's taken right from Robert E. Howards own stories. The time is right to make the movie where Conan (as played by Arnold) becomes king by his own hand!

I called universal about the conan dvd. They have a phone number to call. its 972-293-5903. Its the customer service line. I talked with a very nice lady about the title. they takes notes/requests from the callers. I would assume that the more calls that they get.. the more chance the title could be released.

the region 2 and region 4 of conan the destroyer has 5.1. its not bad.. but conan the barbarian se from region 4 has a better 5.1. I don't know if DTS would work with it or not.
