Please release the Orgazmo S.E. planned for release on 4/23/02 by USA Films, with all the bells and whistles USA had planned for the film. Don't let the NC-17 rating keep you from holding back one of the funniest movies ever made. If you plan to butcher the USA Films version because you're worried about companies like Wal-Mart and Blockbuster not carrying it, why not sell the rights to a GOOD company like TROMA who will treat it like the work of art that it is.

P.S. If I have to, I wil call, e-mail, and write letters to you everyday until it is released.

I agree & you could always label it Not Rated or Unrated! It's very simple.
This movie did not deserve a NC-17 & just proves how illogical the ratings board really is.

The film's subject matter relates to pornography. Though I've been told there is no nudity. I think the MPAA just hate Trey and Matt.

Because it was an indy film, and dealt with pornography. I've seen PG-13 movies that are more offensive frankly.

All that's going to happen is that Universal is going to slap their logos on it and assign a new street date. Calm down

Well, as to when that will happen is now in limbo. I recieved an email from DVDEmpire stating that Orgazmo had been cancelled as a release and no further info was available on it. I haven't been to DVDEmpire yet today, but I doubt if I'll find a new release date on it. (Note: the cancellation equals the cancellation of the order, so there may very well be a new release date, but I'm not counting on it)

Jeff, you seem to be privy to information that many of us don't have. When can we expect the DVD, and what is the source of the tidbit of information you already posted, please?

I don't have specific insider knowlege. I've just seen the aquisition game played too many times. Probably the discs won't even say Universal on them, they'll just change the sleeves. It's been given no new date because they have to get a new manufacture date and resolicit the title under it's new catalog # and distributor

It looks like sometime in the fall. All we know for sure is sometime before Christmas.

I finally completed a viewing of this the other night on cable and am also a bit baffled why this was NC-17. Scary Movie and the American Pie films seem much raunchier to me, so Universal shouldn't have a problem with this.

WHY ORGAZMO GOT AN NC-17

1- It was not from a major studio who pay for the MPAA, and use their insider info (no matter WHAT Jack Valenti says) to cut out just enough to get the R. This info isn NOT made available to "outsiders"

2- It dealt with the porn industry in a lighthearted manner while making fun of a major religious group

1+2=NC-17
