Seeing that Sissy Spacek's most recent Oscar nominated film "In the Bedroom" will reach DVD soon, I think it is about time that Universal wakes up & releases "Coal Miner's Daughter", her Oscar winning performance. It deserves a Special Edition treatment, with I hope commentaries by Sissy & Loretta & a making of documentary & perhaps a feature on Loretta Lynn. This movie is LONG overdue on DVD!

A definate must-buy on street date for me and the missus (who is a giant fan of this film).

In fact, it was the last VHS we ever bought, just to have it until the DVD came out. Now we'd like to get it in OAR and in digital clarity.

Not only is Sissy Spacek a perfect fit as Loretta Lynn, but Beverly D'Angelo does a neat turn as Patsy Cline too. Uh-huh, I'm all over it on street date too.
