    Hi gang,

The number of widescreen HDTV sets for under $2000 is getting pretty big -- I've even seen 40"+ sets for under $1000!

I haven't shopped for a TV since (don't jump all over me here) 1994, but at some point soon it'll be time to go wide. What are the sets to focus on in the low-end (under $2K) price range? Ones to avoid? Any tips are appreciated!

I just purchased a Panasonic 53WX42 TV from soundtrack for 1350... It is the 2002 model, so they are going fast and cheap.

It's getting close to that time. . .any recommendations? Sets to avoid?

Anyone familiar with the 53" Panny 16:9 sold at Costco for $1200? Any good?

I just picked up the sony kp57ws510 for 2000 plus tax. It's my first widescreen RPTV and I love it. I still need to calibrate, more to come.

    Kimo,

How do you like that Panasonic? I wonder if it's the same one sold at Costco.
