It hasn’t been released on iTunes in Australia (my region) yet. At the moment, it’s only available on iTunes in the US.

I’ll keep an eye out for its availability on iTunes here and once it’s released, I’ll check the peak/average brightness values and share later on.

I'm happy to announce that I've launched the 4K Superhero Comparison Tool where we can compare superhero movies from Marvel, DC Comics or any based on comic books in general.

We can compare HDR types, audio formats, ratings and more in a head-to-head matchup. Better yet, it’s 100% responsive in mobile portrait mode!

There are a few minor known issues/design flaws, such as missing Metacritic/IMDb scores for a few movies -- but overall I believe it's a good starting point towards having a full 4K Movie Comparison Tool in the future.

It is available on Prime Video (AU) now. If it helps, I can bring the HDR brightness range tomorrow. From my own experience, Prime Video's HDR brightness range doesn't differ much from iTunes.

Edit: Never mind, false alarm— it isn’t in HDR, but SDR only.

No worries! i appreciate you keeping it in the back of your mind. This is a big movie for me and im trying to hold out for the 4k disc but i might just have to stream it

– Improved security, performance and speed of the website by optimising server resources.
– Updated user interface for a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.

– Introduced an experimental field for Recommended DV Picture Mode Settings under Optimal DV Settings and 4K TV (screenshot below)
– Developing a 'Roadmap' to highlight future plans and developments

Brief explanation about this new field: Rather than relying on " Day"/"Night" time viewing mode, I'm proposing choosing Dolby Vision settings based on different types of content (e.g., genre, scene brightness, colour palette). This approach can optimise the viewing by ensuring that the specific characteristics of each movie are highlighted appropriately.

Latest changes:

– The "4K Slim Stats" page/menu item has been renamed to 4K Streaming Stats to differentiate it from the upcoming 4K Blu-Ray Stats page. The page has also been updated to include a movie's page link under the title field/column. I believe this will be useful for bookmarking or checking further movie details!

– A new 'Stats Panel' menu item has been added, with the following child items: '4K Streaming Stats' & '4K Blu-Ray Stats'

– Introduced a new (early) feature 4K TVs (described under the 'Optimal 4K TVs Pairing section' of the movie pocket guide). Fellow members can follow the development of this new page in real-time, from its early stages (with broken images and missing details) to the final, published version sometime next week.

Beta version 0.92 is now live, introducing the 4K Streaming Services Showdown page.

Currently, sites like CNET, Tom's Guide, JustWatch mention "the best 4K plan for families" or similar with vague data on 4K content and technical details. I've always wanted to know which streaming services offer the best value in terms of 4K content, so I’ve crunched some numbers:

- Current number of HDR Titles: Broken down by format for each service: This is updated daily, and soon it will be in real-time very.
- In-Depth HDR details: Data-backed breakdown, showing the average Peak HDR range, the number of REC.2020 titles and more.
- Current Pricing: but most importantly, the cost per 4K title.
- 4K availability: Across all regions I track.
-- Next enhancements: 4K Titles > 6.0 (%); UX/UI (subjective) evaluation of the streaming apps; Number of 4K Releases monthly

This comparison helps reveal which streamers offer the most bang for our buck. (Although, I subscribe to all of them, lol)
