Ahh when British films were good. Hoping to make time this week to see most of these... The upcoming R1 DVD releases rank high on my must haves list.

Dan, I hail from England but live in Texas now. I'd be really interested in your view of how these look at the cinema. If you have time, please posts your thoughts.

Many thanks!

Even us Yanks love the Ealing films. Please, Dan, post a review when/if you can. I've been hoping for their DVD release (Criterion, are you listening?).

Lavender Hill, White Suit, etc. I'm Alright Jack would also be welcome.

Are these the ones coming out on Anchor Bay DVD in the next year or so?

Anchor Bay is releasing The Man in the White Suit, The Lavender Hill Mob, Kind Hearts and Coronets, and The Ladykillers. They were supposed to release all four as a boxed set with a fifth, bonus DVD featuring Captain's Paradise. However, I don't know if that is still planned or not. Anyone?
