Uh-oh! Question about Samsung HL56A650... (1 Viewer)

To make a short story even shorter, my son accidently threw our Wii controller into the screen of my new Samsung HL56A650 (less than a month old). He wasn't wearing the wrist strap...and BAM!

Anyhoo...there is a small crack in the lower left of the screen. The picture itself isn't affected (no distortion)...but the crack is easily noticeable.

My question...does anybody know offhand if a service technician can simply replace the screen? Or am I looking at a BIG EXPENSIVE repair job?

Or is it even repairable? I can live with it if I have to...but I'd rather not.

Any info would be appreciated.

Regards,

Your best bet is to find a local repair spot that does Samsung repairs/warranty repairs, and ask them how much it would cost to replace the screen, and the labor charges.

You may have to go to Samsung's website to look for a list of authorized Samsung repair shops, or call up Samsung as well.

Thanks for the reply.

I called the local Samsung technician...who is out of the office until next week.

So...gotta live with the nice ugly crack until then.

Lesson learned? ALWAYS strap that Wii controller to your hand! ;)

Greetings
