Yeah, I'd heard his health had been on a downward spiral the past few years. Enjoyed seeing him and chatting with him at several shows over the years. He was quite genial to fans, and pretty effusive in his defense of the moral lessons of his series and other westerns of the era. So long, Bronco Lane. RIP.

Loved him as Bronco and he stood his ground opposite Joan Crawford in Berserk! Those are his two projects that I am most familiar with, but I have seen him in other things.

Warm feelings for his family and friends.

I hadn't seen this show in years when I ordered the DVD sets from Warner Archives . I've been enjoying them and have been impressed with Hardin's performance as Bronco Lane . He was in a few pretty good movies as well. RIP.

I don't see anything on the internet yet about it. Do you have a link?

ETA: Saw that James Drury's assistant posted on Facebook that Hardin did indeed pass away.

And believe it or not, he was one of a select group: those who were born at the exact top of the year (New Year's Day); KNBC (and former KABC) news anchor Chuck Henry (who was, at one time, a game show host [on Now You See It in 1989]) was also born on Jan. 1, that one in 1946.

wow was just thinking about recently I think Sugarfoot is still with us Is Clint Walker still alive

Both still around. Clint Walker is 88 whilst Will Hutchins is a couple of years younger. Clint still does the odd personal appearance .

Met both of them at the Memphis Film Festival a few years back and you couldn't meet two nicer guys.Ty Hardin was also there and very friendly.

Two more WB tv-cowboy actors (albeit of far, far more abbreviated stints) still with us include Robert Colbert, who had a fleeting moment in the sun as a "Maverick," and Donald May, who briefly stepped into the hero's shoes at the tail-end of "Colt .45's" run. Also, L.Q. Jones, who played Cheyenne Bodie's sidekick a few times in that first season of "Cheyenne" is still around. All of them also made appearances at various Memphis Film Festivals as well. Those were some great shows/panels for tv-western buffs!
