I just want to know what you all think is better in this scenario. Would placing the Sony WM40 and JBL PB10 together, one near the other, sound about the same as the PB12? I noticed that you could purchase those two subs for the same price as a PB12. Would it be a noticeable difference?

MMMMM if it was my decision to make I would go with the PB 12 and later if I wanted a 2nt sub, I would go with the like or better. I tried stacking different subs and it did not work out. This is not to say that it can't. If your HT room has openings it will most likely be more forgiving on placment options. What do you think of the HSU VTF-2. $450. I ran two subs in the past, the WM-40 and the Kenwood SW-35HT which comes with the kenwood 504. It did do very well but I have since upgraded to the Vel ct-150 and it blows my past configuration away.
