A friend of mine recently got a new Mits. 55" widescreen HDTV, and I've spent some time at his place playing some 2 player split screen games.

Our favorites are Project Gotham Racing and Deathrow, because they have a verical split screen. Rallisport Challenge, however, despite being a widescreen compatible game, doesn't have that vertical split screen option, but rather the screen is divided horizontally.

Are there any other games that have vertical split screen options (side by side)?

Either way, I must say that nothing compares to big-screen gaming goodness. [IMG] I wish I had one.

I know SSX Tricky splits side-by-side. I'm not sure if GR, Halo, or UC have both options, or just top-bottom.

Many games have vertical/horizontal split-screen options. I've played SSX Tricky for GameCube in Anamorphic with vertical split-screen before, and it's pretty nice.

MechAssault is vertically split - quite fun when you are playing online with a buddy.

Ace Combat 4 splits vertically as well for 2 player dogfighting.

Interesting that you started this thread, Chris, as I've always wondered the same thing. It really makes sense to have both options, particularly if the game supports 16:9.
