Twister se or not

    I just got the Twister DVD last night and looking on a few sites they have a SE.The cover and extras look the same to me.DD and DTS,MUSIC VIDEO and the like on it.Is there another one? Or is this the SE?All it says is twister on the cover.Anyone?Thanks. [​IMG]

    Not to disappoint you, but the special edition is the better edition to get. There is a previous thread on this topic that might be worth checking out.

    If i'm understanding you correctly, the one you have says DTS, music video etc, if that's the case then you have the SE version. The first release had no DTS track, and no music video or commentary. The one you have is the one and only SE.

    Yeah John it has DD and DTS along with a video by Van Halen,behind the scenes documentary Anatomy of THE Twister,commentary by director and visual effects supervisor.But it just don't say SE any where on it.Thanks guys.

    My copy of the special edition does not have any "Special Edition" banner either. The cover looks similar to the previous release. However, if your copy contains a DTS track, rest assured that you have the SE. The original release was Dolby Digital only.

    The front cover of the first release has the THX banner on the bottom.
    The front cover of the "Special Edition" doesn't.
    Also, the movie-only edition has both widescreen and pan & scan, a trailer, production notes, and cast & crew biographies.

    Also, the SE has a red border around its edges. Why WB couldn't create a cover that differed more significantly from the old one is a mystery to me - they did the same thing with The Fugitive (and probably the other SEs like the Lethal Weapon flicks)...
