Completely different kettle of fish. The Pilot should be seen first, then both series of the TV programme, followed finally by the film. Its a prequel, but you wouldn't watch it first. If you thought knowing all about Anakin Skywalker before seeing Empire Strikes Back was bad its nothing compared to watching Fire Walk With Me too soon.

I've seen Twin Peaks up to the point of when they reveal the killer. After that, I didn't get to see the rest of the episodes. I also want to get TPFWWM when it hits DVD. It sucks that I have to wait to watch it, untill the entire Twin Peaks series is released on DVD

Right. I screwed up. I'm getting impatient waiting for the Region 0 pilot and my season 1 box set in the mail. I remember that I asked about this earlier and figured it was:

    Pilot

    season 1

    season 2

    Film TPFWWM

What are the chances that the proper only available as "Region 0" Pilot will make its way here in a polished Region 1 format release??

First I watched the Season ONE boxed set.

I then, last week, ordered and received the

Hong Kong import PILOT on DVD. I bought it

    on eBAY.

The quality of the Hong Kong pilot is pretty

    good.

I must say, however, that I am glad I waited

to see the PILOT last. I don't know if I would

have been thrusted into the series like I was had

I watched the PILOT first. I thought Episode 2

(the first episode in the boxed set) was far more

intriguing. You can certainly get into this

series without watching the Pilot episode.

I will say that anyone that makes it through the

first boxed set will WANT to order the PILOT.

Slightly OT, but can anyone tell me when plans are to release the second season on DVD??

Never having watched Twin Peaks before, me and the wife have just watched the pilot and season one...it would break my heart to have to buy the VHS set to finish watching this series...

That seems to be the plan from what I have gathered.
