Topic says it all. I love this film. I remember seeing as a kid on HBO and I caught it not too long ago on cable and it still slayed me. Anybody know who has the rights and if/when they're going to do something with them?

I still own the laserdisc, which was released by Warner Bros. I can only assume that they still hold the rights.
I'd love to have this one on DVD. [IMG]

Wasn't George Lucas or Lucasfilm involved in Twice Upon A Time?
I love this film, too. I have the Warner LD, and it's actually quite good. Full frame, though. Did it play in theatres? Anyhow, it sounds really fantastic.
My iBook is named The Murkworks. [IMG]

I will not buy this unless the uncensored theatrical version (not the cleaned-up "Family Entertainment" version) is released.

The uncensored version is much funnier. I think HBO showed both at one time.

I didn't know there was more than one version. I have no idea which I saw "back in the day". I do remember, at that time, I saw it on HBO so who knows.

I'd love to get this on DVD. It's vastly underrated, in my opinion.

I haven't seen the "more adult" version in years, but I seem to remember some fart humor and perhaps a "damn" or two. Doesn't sound like a lot, I know, but it was pretty funny to me at the time. Of course, I was like ten years old.

According to IMDB, the laserdisc contains the edited version.

It sounds like the undedited version is, by today's standards, pretty tame.

Hopefully, if the film is ever released on disc, they'll recognize that and give us the original.
