I've been asked by a friend to help him and I'm stumped. He has one of those TV's with built in VCR's and tried hooking up a DVD player to it and Macrovision prevents him from watching DVD's. Is there any inexpensive work around for this?

Or you could get a cheap APEX player for the same price.

Many can turn off Macrovision via the remote (and play PAL discs, and any region discs).

Granted, the APEX in not a high quality machine, but that TV/VCR combo probobly isnt big enough to show the quality issues.
