Yes, the DVD does replace the special logo theme with the standard version.

Just like on the final go of St. Elsewhere from 1987-88, where (if it were released to DVD) the original NBC ending in 1988 (Mimsie on the operating table, flatlining) would be replaced by the standard OR (operating room) sequence, standard MTM kitten, and 20th Television logo?
