TV Recommendation?

    i have a denon 2802- klipsch speakers (surround) dolby digital sat dish and a new Sony NC 655p DVD, with 480P progressive scan.

    i NEED a new tv to complete the set up=
    what's your recommendations--
    i suppose i should get HI DEF (unless i hear otherwise)
    i'm willing to part with ~$2500 or so..

    what would you folks get?
    what should i look for?

    I've had last years 57" Sony for a year now, couldn't be happier.

    If you decide on Tosh, be sure to get the HDX82 model, has DVI input while HD82 is only "DVI ready".

    The Sony WV500 also has DVI, as does the Hitachi iirc.

    thanks-- i've search for DVI= can't find an explanation- what is it?

    would you guys get hdtv ready- or a builtin decoder?

    Go with a HD ready tv the built in decoders are way over priced. plus you get more flexibility. have you considered a direct view set?

    Direct view refers to non projection CRT tv's basically all the tv's you are used to seeing everywhere the biggest ones available are the sony 40" model
