Looking for advice on a 27" TV. Like to spend less than $600. Used mostly for watching TV and some DVD. Thanks in advance.

    Ben,

Your best bet on getting a good deal on that size set is to just go to Best Buy. They've got 3 27" sets on sale in our area from between $300 and $500. Alot of the regular priced sets of that size start at around $200.

I'd stick with the brands you know....Panasonic, Philips/Magnavox, Toshiba etc. You should be able to find a good set for less than $350. No need to spend much more than that if it's just going to be used for casual TV and occasional movie watching.

Mike - thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, Mom lives in California, so I was planning to purchase over the internet. Any suggestions on model numbers of a decent one. Looking for a reasonably priced flat screen model.

    Ben,
I have this Panasonic flat-screen TV. It has one component input, and two S-Video/Composite inputs. I don't know if you want to spend $550, but it is a nice TV.
