I'm a graduate student with pretty minimal funds. I am currently looking to buy a flat panel and am pretty indiscriminant about anything but image quality.
I have the following options:
Either
PN43F4500http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN43F4500-43-Inch-600Hz-Plasma/dp/B00BCPGMXQorUN46ES6100Fhttp://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN46ES6100-46-Inch-1080p-120Hz/dp/B007AAC3AI

I can get the PN off craigslist for 300 and the UN off CL for 500. If it was your money which would you buy. Regardless of money, which has better image quality. Thanks.
-Adam.

Agree on plasma. Check your local Sears store--they may have the Panasonic TC-P42S60 for about $499 new in the box. 1080p vs 720P for the Samsung 4500 you list, plus "smart" features for Netflix etc.
