Sure it's been used. I used to hear it a lot.

The biggest use was anytime someone was in a jam, they'd yell "Beam me up Scotty!" It was very similar to the "Calgon take me away!!!!"

Or if something really strange was occuring, they'd say it as a way of inferring that the situation was too weird for them.

I've thought of a few to add to the list:

Hi-yo, Silver! from The Lone Ranger
And awa-a-aay we go from The Jackie Gleason Show/The Honeymooners
Good night, and may God bless from The Red Skelton Show

The actual names of some shows were catchphrases:

When asking a question you would get the answer, "You Bet Your Life" or "That's the $64,000.00 Question." I can remember hanging out with friends listening to the radio and someone would say, Name That Tune.

I also remember a few road-trips when we'd end up some where in the sticks and one of us would inevitably say, "Wheee doggee" and if we got hungry we'd go in search of some "Vittles,' both from The Beverly Hillbillies.

I had an uncle who would always say, "As my old pappy used to say . . . which was from his favorite show, Maverick.

> How about "Presented for your Inspection" (Twilight Zone)

I think there are other lines from the TZ opening that are more catchy.

Although they do refer to it as a "Catchphrase".

This reminds me of the "Luke, I am your Father" thing that everyone says, but was never said (exactly like that) in the film.

Reading the additional examples, I realise if anything, "that's the $64,000 question" is a very significant catchphrase that has entered regular use without many even realising it was derived from a TV show. With many others, its usage is clearly linked to the show, and wouldn't be used in ordinarly daily life (or work) without referencing the show, but "$64,000 question" IMHO certainly has -- personally I became familiar with the phrase, and even used it, long before I found out it came from an old game show.

Madge: "You're soaking in it!"

Customer: (pulls hand from liquid)

Madge: (comfortingly pats hand back down into liquid) "It's mild. More than just mild. Palmolive softens hands as you do dishes."

Plop! Plop! Fizz! Fizz! Oh, what a relief it is!:D

(If I'm not mistaken Those two ads aired Back to Back during a Football Game, and that was the last ad Micky Dees aired using that slogan! (Not the kind of "Big Mac Attack" they had in mind!)

All of the political "catchprases" are just a tad onesided.

If all of those made the list, I think this should've as well..

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman Ms Lewinski."
