What was the first (or first wave of) TV DVDs released in season boxed sets?

Are there any boxed sets that are out of print?

We know what the BEST selling DVD sets of all time are, but what were the worst?

Yeah, I'm 99% sure (but not 100%) that The X-Files was the first season set released. And I believe that The Twilight Zone was the first TV show on DVD (in the best-of style).

I doubt you'll ever find out what sold the worst since most studios wouldn't want to promote that[IMG]

While not the first TV on DVD set released, I believe "The Simpsons: The Complete First Season" was very big in paving the way for Complete season sets on DVD.

I believe that Friends was the first season set for Warner Bros., and Law & Order was the first season set for Universal.

I do have to wonder how long they expect to take to release that series given that there are what 11 seasons of the mother show still unreleased, not even counting the spinoffs.

I doubt they will finish it soon unless they plan on continuing a release schedule of at least 2 per year.
