I just got my Panasonic TH-50PX60U and absolutely love it, except for one thing......the speakers suck.

Is there such a thing as self amplified speakers that I could mount on the wall right next to the TV?

I really don't want to do any type of receiver and speakers, I just want some self powered speakers, silver, small, and sound good.

Thanks for any help or links,

Steve

There are lots of on-wall speakers out there, I'm not really familiar with any self-powered ones though.

Glad you like the Panny

You can get a ~$100 receiver from BB or CC that will be more than adequate for driving on-walls. Probably much cheaper than decent self powered ones, if they exist.
Suggest you start looking for the speakers, then deal with how to power them.

I ended up getting a Panasonic home theater setup for $160. The speakers are small and silver so they blend in well around the TV. They sub hides nicely behind the DVD racks. The receiver is just slightly larger then my cable box.

Just what I needed to get good audio..........without spending a ton of money or taking up a ton of space......and it's wife approved!!

It's not going to blow you out of your seat by any means, but it sounds allot better then the stock tv speakers.

As good as I thought my Mits 46" HD looked.............this Plasma blows it away. HD baseball is incredible........even my wife likes it.

HD Red Sox were great while it lasted............have to wait until spring now.
