Tony,

Yes, I am using TechTiles and for the most part,
they are okay...when they work.

It's not the TechTiles nor the NFC technology on
the phone that's the problem mind you....

I am not using the Samsung TechTiles app. I am
using NFC TASK LAUNCHER which is a much better
app for the ability to do a SWITCH.

A SWITCH enables you to do two tasks with one
TechTile. So, I can create a GOODNIGHT that
lowers my phone volume, brightness and puts it
in airport mode when I go to bed, and a GOOD
MORNING that turns everything back on with just
one TechTile and dual swipes.

The problem is, NFC TASK LAUNCHER has been
a bit buggy lately. Sometimes it confuses the
GOODNIGHT with the GOOD MORNING. I see
there is an update available on the phone so perhaps
those issues have been addressed with the update.

I haven't done the textiles yet. Maybe soon.
I did get the micro cad today.
Downloaded the sandisk app that has a file transfer action on it.
Tried to put my Gallery over to it but it stopped and said did not trqnsfer. Hmm.
Started moving the music over but it is taking forever.

Still can't figure out that download thing. Only way to get it to load is to turn off wifi and use only
4g data.
Also why do some pictures come through as a video.
I get a pic, click on it to see it and it plays a four or five second video of the picture.

I'm having trouble with the micro card, specifically using my Air to see whats on that card.
i have hundreds of pics and songs on there but Air doesnt see them. I didnt use Ron's formatting
of micro card in the first post I used the GS3 to do it so thats probably the problem.
I have nearly 15g's of music and pics on the card so I cant put all of that back on the phone.
I need to see the pics and music beacuse I'm getting doubles and triples of many pics and
some songs taking up valuable and needed space and need to do some deleting.

Tony,

Yeah, if you don't first format that micro card you aren't
going to have any success with it.

You can actually format the card on your Mac. Just go
to UTILITIES -> DISK UTILITY and with your card inserted.

Format it in MS-DOS FAT.

After that your phone should recognize the card.

Let us know how you make out with this.

To be more clear, my fault. The card works. I put it in the phone and the phone formatted it
but doing it that way, nothing else will see it. Not my Air or the iPad using the iPad photo adaptor.
I had to use the phone to edit all the pics that needed to be removed. It was tedious but not any different using the airdroid app and the airdroid web site.
So if I reformat the card in the Air it will stil work in the phone too?

Well phone sees the card but now I can't get the phone to be able to move music from the music file on the phone onto the micro card while in the phone.
Trying to copy then over to the card but when I go over to the card there is no paste option that I can see.
I love the phone but many things were a lot simpler on the iPhone.

Well, anyway. The sd card didn't workin my phone or her phone I tried to take pictures and have them go to the card but the phone
tells me it isn't a readable card. Hmm.
Don't know if formatting it on thE Air messed it up or not bt I did also try to format itmonnthe phone and that doesn't work either.
Back to the store with it.

I don't know what is going on with the micro SD card you are using. Again,
based on my experience, formatting it before using gave me no problems.

As far as transferring music and pictures, try this software...

http://www.samsung.com/us/kies/

I have not used it, but my co-worker who owns an iMac swears by
it with his Galaxy S3.

Note that this does have the side effect of making your system less secure than what Apple recommends. It's the only way forward with Apps that are developed by unregistered developers tho. This is a choice you as a user have to make tho, and it has pros and cons. Both from technical and philosophical perspectives.

Tony,

System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General ->

Check off "Allow Applications downloaded from Anywhere"

If you right click (control click) on the app and select "Open" from the contextual menu, you will see the same warning dialog with an option to launch the app anyway. This way, you don't have to change your global settings.
