I'm really looking forward to this title. The first Turok was one of my favourites on the N64. I was a little disappointed with the step towards aliens in the latter titles. Acclaim have promised a return to the original's dino-blasting, and if done right, could make for one hell of a gaming experience.

The only questions remains is: which system will it be best suited to: Cube, X-Box or PS2? [IMG]

    Ditto on what Rob said.
Maybe add to that the possibility of smoother framerates and more detailed textures. [IMG]

I think that Turok was originally started for the PS2, and is being ported to the X-Box and GameCube. Here's hoping they do a good conversion!

I remember reading that T:E was actually kind of a let-down. The "knock down trees" idea was kinda lame and didn't make sense (hit a tree once with a club and it falls down) and the flying levels were a big part of the game, which supposedly aren't that fun. I'm still looking forward to it, since I really liked the first one and the first few levels of the second.

I currently only have a GameCube. How much better is the X-Box version likely to be? I was gonna wait for Halo[IMG]C, but if this one warrants a buy as well, I might just have to assault my wallet! [IMG]

Paul... believe me when I say, HALO (PC) will never happen [IMG] It is way too much of a cashcow franchise for XBOX for Microsoft to put it on PC too (It would probably affect XBOX sales).
Just get the XBOX and be happy [IMG]

I agree with Rob...trust me getting a X-box with Halo is worth it.

Hell, getting an Xbox with Hunter is worth it ... I actually like that game more than Halo, though Halo is of course a great game.

I thought the first to Turok games were close to being great, but managed to fall short due to some easily fixable gameplay issues. Like Turok 2 having save points that were sooo far apart. It really got annoying. Anyway, I have hope for the third.

I have to admit, I actually owned a Nintendo console once. Gasp!

And, it was the original Turok that made me buy it. Personally, I thought the 1st Turok kicked ass! Really liked it. Big levels and special effects I'd never seen, then. And some of those weapon effects...YEEOWW!!! Badass man, badass.

Then, Golden Eye, then Doom64 (Suprising damn good!) Then sayonara Nintendo. Gave it away to my gf's daughter.

Isn't Halo PC supposed to be different from the XB version? I read that somewhere.

The Turok series is one of the best gaming series ever created. The first two Turok games were great because of the massive levels, far out weapons and plus they introduced the newer control method. The third game was kind of a let down for me since the worlds were not as big and you were too confined. But other than that, the game was also fun to play.

    I can't wait to get TUROK 4!

I also intend to get it for the Game Cube. Nintendo is and always will be the mother of all gaming systems, so why not go with the best?

Well the series started on a Nintendo console, but I prefer the PS2 controller for games that will be on all 3 consoles. The GameCube controller is great, but it's just a little too weird for FPS games since I'm more used to the PS2 controller now.

Anyhoo, I'll probably grab the GCN version because it might look and sound better than the PS2 version and I don't have an X-Box.
