It involves early streamlined trains from the 1930's and the style of the illustrations is a lot like the Fleischer cartoon Play Safe. I'm pretty sure it was an old book at the time I'd of been interested in it over 25 years ago. Would've been meant for early elementary school age kids, like The Little Red Caboose.

Anyone happen to know what it was?

i remember finding an old children's book I used to have after years of looking. Couldn't remember the name at all. all I could remember was a circus performer with several horses and he disguising them as ladies to get them on a train diner car. the book meant a lot to me. not only did i find the book, Three Little Horses, I found the whole set of old books, many I also had as a kid. The Dandelion Library with Babar and so many others. they are set up as 2 stories per book, you have to flip the book over end over end to get to the next one.
