Trying to find comparisons (1 Viewer)

I'm starting to look for a new receiver, can never be happy
I love my current receiver (its a JVC 888 and its awesome) but i'm running out of optical inputs!
i'm trying to find a place where i can do comparisons and select based on optical inputs, the JVC RX-DP10VBK has 4 optical inputs but whose to say what they are assignable to, what good would this receiver do me if they are assigned as follows dvd, dbs, cd, mini disc?
right now I have a dvd player, xbox, and DSS that have optical out. my current receiver only has two optical inputs currently swapping dvd and xbox(and no i wont hook up the xbox to stereo connection ) and i cant assign the coax to another video source just cd or mini disc
where should i start looking?

or is there some optical diplexer? two in and one out to the receiver?

Several companies sell optical multiplexor switches.
At the high end there's MSB (both optical and coax):

Parts Express has a much cheaper one by Recoton (optical only):

It's probably available at your local BestBuy or equivalent.

The Sony STR-DA5ES has 4 assignable optical inputs.
