I thought that this weeks groundhog day like episode was quite good. Does anyone know if this show has been renewed, or what the ratings are like?

The show looks likely not to be renewed for a second season since it's ratings puts Tru Calling in 4th place behind the big three. FOX will probably show all 19 episodes that have been ordered and then hopefully they'll do a DVD release, but a second season seems highly unlikey unless FOX decides to move it to a better night hwere it gets a good jump in the ratings.

Watch TC get creamed during sweeps, going up against Friends and Survivor.

Ah, the mythical better timeslot where there's both no competition and a large audience. I don't think the thing exists.

Besides, they'd probably be better off leaving it where it is and hoping Joey or whatever NBC replaces Friends with isn't as potent.

I enjoyed the recursive rewind day that enabled Tru to finally get it right. I do like how she thinks past the obstacles of her prescient dreams. I kept thinking that skaterboy might have become the donor, but the writers went for the heartstrings with Michael's sacrifice for her daughter.

What I hope that doesn't happen is what happened to John Doe, where if the show is cancelled, at least tell us the connection between Davis, and Tru's calling before the show ends for good.

    Actually it's not. Season-to-date averages (9/22/03-1/25/04):

    "Tru Calling": 4.32 million
    "WWE Smackdown": 5.23 million

I enjoy watching this show. I wish it would get better rating or move to a better timeslot where it has better chance of success.
