No, it's 01/04/2005. :) He just included the "0" in the day.

EDIT: Dang it, I hate it when that happens.:)

I was getting suspicious of it coming out in R1 on October 19th like many sites were reporting seeing as how it was getting close to the release date without an announcement.

I have a feeling Warner didn't want the film to get lost among all the other big-name DVD's coming out before the holidays. By scheduling it on the 4th, they can hope to cash in on people spending christmas money... and less competition from new releases.

And for those wanting cover-art, it's available at the following link:

Wow. I don't usually bitch about cover art, but that looks nasty.

I like it, but then I've never been too picky about covers. The only ones I've ever really despised were Open Range and Matrix Revolutions.

They're actually releasing a fullscreen version of a 2.40:1 movie? I feel sorry for the poor bastard hired to pan and scan *that* one.

The disc art looks pretty cool, though.

Yeah it's pretty shocking. But it's commonplace now mostly because of Wal-Mart. It still boggles my mind when widescreen clearly outsales fullscreen yet the studios still release chopped up versions. Of course most of the sales numbers don't take Wal-Mart into account.

The posters weren't much better but the cover isn't exactly bad it's just boring.

That cover art is awful. It makes this look like a TV miniseries. They should have used the theatrical movie poster art instead... it looks much more epic.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe it!

Reg 1 has just been announced, for NEXT FREAKIN' YEAR!!!

Why does the rest of the world get it in October & Reg 1 get it in January?

I don't know if it's too late to suggest this, but it would be really, really cool if Warner were to include Gabriel Yared's rejected score, either in an isolated track or put back into the film in an alternate mix.

Just an idea. :D

Why is anyone worried about a street date?

It getz here when it getz here...

There are plenty of other titles out there screaming for your bucks!
