trouble with xbox live (1 Viewer)

When I connect to live using capcom vs snk it would cut me off everytime I would accept a challenge. My connection is good. I did connect one time out of probably 20 challenges. Is this common with live? this was my first try at it.

This has definitely happened to me with MechAssault and it's terribly frustrating. No idea why.

OK I went online this morning and no trouble. Tonight same as last night. Is this a problem during peak times? How often should I expect this?
