I've been watching the television series UFO (superb blu ray set from Network). Wanda Ventham has a similarity to Honor Blackman.
Don't recognize the actress, Thomas, but she's a cutie for sure!
Sue Lyon of Lolita and Night Of The Iguana fame. This is a screen grab from an episode of Love American Style circa 1969.Don't recognize the actress, Thomas, but she's a cutie for sure!
Just bought Lolita- never saw it before. Anxious to watch it.Sue Lyon of Lolita and Night Of The Iguana fame. This is a screen grab from an episode of Love American Style circa 1969.
Considering how tied Kubrick's hands were due to the censorship restrictions of the era, it's a remarkable film. One of my top 5 Kubricks (not that you asked but the other 4 are 2001: A Space Odyssey, Barry Lyndon, The Killing and Spartacus).Just bought Lolita- never saw it before. Anxious to watch it.
Whoa! I know Sue Lyon, but didn't recognize her in that photo. Thanks for the clarification.Sue Lyon of Lolita and Night Of The Iguana fame. This is a screen grab from an episode of Love American Style circa 1969.
She's more recognizable here:Whoa! I know Sue Lyon, but didn't recognize her in that photo. Thanks for the clarification.
In my adolescence I had a great fondness for the teen blondes. My favorites were Sandra Dee, Tuesday Weld, Carol Lynley, Yvette Mimieux and of course, Sue Lyon.I'm glad that Sue Lyon has not been forgotten.
I never thought she was particularly pretty. Her greatest asset was her body.Yes she’s very pretty. Billy Joel was/is a lucky man.
These photos reminded me of someone else and I've been racking my brain to remember who that was. It's just dawned on me and on checking, the resemblance is only slight but it's an actress who deserves a citation in a thread about blondes.

Grace Lee Whitney never became a big name and I know her mainly from two small roles she played in Billy Wilder movies. She had a "homely" face, elegant legs and a good figure.

I believe she today is most remembered for having been in Star Trek but she started her career as a singer. She won a part in the 1951 Broadway show Top Banana which had a score by Johnny Mercer. The making of the film version brought her to Hollywood.

According to the IMDB Grace Lee Whitney was in The Naked And The Dead. Barbara Nichols is the only blonde I remember from that film, so I'll have another viewing of the Blu-ray disc in the next few days.

Yes, a worthy addition to this thread.
Grace Lee Whitney was certainly comely; but I chose homely because I meant her face, although not beautiful, was very likable and would make a man feel comfortable."Homely" face? I think she's quite pretty. Did you mean "comely"?
Yup, and I continue to marvel and how she defies age in terms of beauty. No woman on earth should look this good in their mid 60's.
