I ordered a DVD from Germany. It was sent to me with an invoice. I am trying to translate it and I am in dire need of some help. I have tried babel.altavista.com with no luck. Could someone please translate the following for me:
Gesamt Netto 96,37
zzgl. 16,00% USt. auf 15,42
Geamtbetrag 111,79
I am particularly interested in the zzgl. 16,00% line. Is this the VAT tax, or is this some discount if I pay within 14 days? I just got the DVD in today.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Total net: 96,37
plus 16% VAT: 15,42
Total: 111,79
The total amount is 57,16 Euro
Payable till September 20th 2001 (14 days) net with no discount deductible.
The shipment concurs with our business conditions which are known to you.
The goods remain our unconfined property until full payment.

The 16% are the VAT one pays in Germany. Strange they added this to your total since they exported the goods which is VAT free?
