The preview trailer is up for "internationally acclaimed superstar" Stephen Chow's new film KUNG-FU HUSTLE.

I'm still trying to decide whether the use of Carl Douglas' 70's pop ditty "Kung-Fu Fighting" AGAIN is actually a middle-finger salute to companies like Miramaxe and others who insist on looping it into countless US releases of Hong Kong films, or a case of Columbia Pictures Asia lacking in originality just like their western kin, or perhaps believing that the collective Chinese market for the film (this appears to be a Chinese trailer, despite the English voiceover) is unfamiliar with the song and would think it's really, really clever.

    My head hurts.

In case anyone's interested, there's a new trailer out at the official site. Still not digging the full story on this one, but perhaps one of the posters attending the Toronto Film Festival will get a chance to see the premiere. The site intro is kinda cool too. Click your "crosshairs" on the hanging Chow three times.
