I have a rotel RB-985thx 5-channel amp. I've had it about a yr. The owner before me had the amp fully serviced and I believe new caps were installed. It has worked flawlessly for me. I've since got a B&K amp. Also note that the rotel is black and has the older flat faceplate and not the heatsink front. Personally I like the flat face better.

I was going to use it for my two diy subs(one amp/coil) but dopey me realized the subs are dual 2-ohm and I don't want the chance of overheating the Rotel. What I need is a pro-amp with at least 2 channels and 350watts a side into 4ohms. More power is alright[IMG]

    Thanks

Put a ADcom 555II on the subs. . .Not a 555 but a 555II or a 585 or a 5800. . . .I am sure you can trade for a 555II or a 585(maybe) Email me. . I know a amp guy in Indy who might want your Rotel. . .I just sold a 985THX MK2 with the heatsink front for 750.00 so there are buyers for these Rotels. I like the B&W style Rotels myself. . .My favorite Rotel is a 981. . .
