is there a trick to get that big round thing into the plug. I bought a toslink cable to connect my PS2 to my Onkyo receiver but I cannot get it plugged into either the receiver or the PS2. the cable came with adapters for mini-toslink connections...I didn't use those...should I? I didn't want to force it too much because I'm afraid to break it.

Its hard to say without seeing your cable, but are you sure that "the big round thing" isn't a cover you need to pull off before inserting?

Most toslink cables come with plastic covers on the ends. Make sure you remove that or it wont fit!

If that doesnt work, slap some butter on it and tap it in with a hammer

there is a cover i'm suppose to remove?? ok i'll give that a try when I get home.
