Toshiba SD4800 not playing VCD (1 Viewer)

I'm new here
I bought my dvd player (tosh sd4800) and I tried to play a vcd, but all it did was detect that it was a vcd and then stop. It would not play it. I returned the player for another one but it does the same thing. I then brought my vcd disc to the store to see if it would play on another player that they had out for demos, but none played my disc. I know my disc is ok because it played on my cheap (Technosonic) Dvd player. I also tried to burn another vcd disc on my computer but I had the same results. Am I doing something wrong.???:frowning:

Does anybody out there have a toshiba sd4800 that plays vcd? anybody.??
