    What Hi*Fi? out of the UK has a review of the Toshiba SD-9500 progressive-scan DVD-Audio player in the September 2002 issue. The '9500 was awarded five stars out of five. Here is What Hi*Fi?'s synopsis of '9500:

    Thanks for the update. I'm kind of dissapointed with the sound department. I always understood that the 9200 had good to great sounding redbook playback.

    Does the 9500 have DVD-A or SACD?

    Troy, keep in mind that what I shared were a few blurbs from What Hi*Fi?'s review. They didn't compare the CD playback of the '9500 to that of the '900E, which is the European equivalent of the '9200. Furthermore, they mentioned no direct comparison with other DVD players or any CD player. Here is a little more of what they said about it in the audio department:
