    Big-Screen TVs Being Recalled
    Televisions Sold At Electronic Stores

    UPDATED: 3:06 p.m. EDT July 7, 2003

CLEVELAND -- Toshiba is recalling more than 3,000 of its big-screen TVs, NewsChannel5 reported.

The models being recalled are all rear projection televisions sold this April and May at every electronics store. They cost between $900 to $2,200.

The TVs are being recalled because of a possible shock hazard if the TV is struck by lightning.

To find out if your TV is being recalled, call (877) 290-6064. You can also get more information at the Toshiba Web site.

I like the part about "a possible shock hazard if struck by lightning". So if your Sony or Panasonic RPTV is struck by lightning, there is no shock hazard? Excellence in reporting
