I am anxious to see SED and OLED come to the market. Toshiba and Canon are supposed to release a 50 inch SED in 2005. We shall see.

Another model that I am anxious to see that is coming out around the 3rd quarter is the Infocus ScreenPlay61. It is a 61 inch DLP HD2+ set with built in HDTV tuner and web browser and is only 6.5 inches thick and can be hung on your wall.

But that doesn't mean they'll stop selling CRT-based television sets. Their smaller tubes (14, 20, 24") are already being sourced from Philips.

As it stands right now, CRT-based rear-projection sets will be available from Toshiba for the 2005/6 model year, but possibly not for 2006/7.
