Toshiba Gigabeat: iPod Killer?

    I saw that thing online a few days ago, isn't it gorgeous? Too bad I won't be able to afford one for a long time. [​IMG] I'm sure some people on here can...when you get one, do share your response. ^_^

    It's most certainly not an iPod killer:

    Bigger, heavier, No jog wheel, no Address book, no fun easter egg, requires a separate power adapter, can't charge and play with the same cable, can't act as a bootable drive on Mac(or PC side), will be limited to 10GB or lower because the 20GB drives are a larger form factor, and fewer languages supported at the same price as an iPod.

    There is also the issue of how it integrates into Media Player or iTunes. Apple is selling these things for near the cost of the drive itself so it's hard to top them at this point.

    At least someone made a decent attempt this time around. Competition is a good thing.
