Anyone know anything about this?

It sounds to me like the Tosh CRTs might outlast the competition. This came from the Toshiba Canadian website.

I think it is interesting to note Toshiba claims 50,000 hours with no loss of light output. That would be a lot of new lamps in a DLP or LCD TV, which costs a lot more to begin with.

I wonder how much of this is adverising gimmick or if they really do last that long
