My 65 inch widescreen is having issues. It is approximately 2 years old. When watching either DVDs or sat tv through my DST-3000, I have rainbows that run from side to side when I have movement on my tv screen. It is very apparent when watching in a dark enviroment (most of the time). I was wondering has anyone else out there had an issue like this? the rainbows even expand into the letterbox areas where there should be nothing but black. This is one time I will be happy I bucked up at bought the extended warranty from OneCall. Before I call, I will wait to see if anyone has any recommendations. thanks.

What color is your rainbow, red, blue and green? Perhaps it is your convergence?? Just a thought.

Yes, I believe they are. While I am knowledgable on the audio side of things, I am fairly ignorant on the video side. What exactly is a convergence? Thanks.

    Argh!

Convergence is is the alignment all all 3 color guns to produce a sharp picture.

For starters do the 9 point convergence in the user menu and see if that "helps". If so, I can give you more detailed directions for doing the 56 point convergence.

    regards
    Gregg

Ok, that did help, and was farily easy. How do I go about doing the 56 point setup. Thanks.

Another issue that I have, is during a black screen, (perfect example credits rolling from the bottom to top), when the credits start at the bottom, I have a white shadow effect at the top of the screen, is this normal for rp tv's?

Tom, to do the 56 point convergence, get the instructions from Keohi.com and follow the link to keohitv.

Yes the shadows are called halos and are normal for RPTVs.
